Public Art/WhatsApp online Festival
Collective Narrative’s short film, “Buchitheka Bugayiwe Thokola Themba” (a collaboration between Cebolenkosi Zuma, Shane Cooper and Julia Ramsay) showing on the My Body My Space: Public Art/WhatsApp online Festival.
‘Through movement and setting, “Bucitheka Bugayiwe || Thokola Themba” captures some of the states of mind we have passed through as individuals and collectively in these uncertain times, and perhaps reassures us that this too shall pass.’ Ntshadi Mofokeng reviews Cebolenkosi Zuma and Shane Cooper’s work
Last year we asked South Africans to share their experiences during these trying times.
Thank you to all of those who contributed to the work. Personally, I would like to thank, Lynne Gogo NomVuka van Zyl and Sinethemba Mathabela for your contribution to the work.

Awaken the Giant within
in memory of O’Baba Credo Mutwa
(1921–2020)
Covid19 has brought about a much needed global awakening. Fast-track inward journey, Gateway of Choice.
Transcending all limitations, social conditioning and everything that has stopped us from living from our Higher- Selves. Through the dark night of the soul, we learn to take our Power Back.
Our Essential Services paperwork is received, we give thanks. We are in service to humanity. We are the medicine, delivering medicine to the people and to remind our communities over Khayalitsha radio, to remember your roots & where you come from. Not to live in fear. Remember how Makhulu planted her garden & made ancient remedies. This was taught by our Ancestors, for generations. We are children of the Soil. Nkosi Sekelle iafrika
As children of the soil, unconditionally fed and nurtured the “homeless”, as they awaited their fate. “Confessions 444” called for a forgiveness Ceremony. Time to release the pain, carried in his heart. The Gatekeeper prepared the water ceremony & was ready to serve. Word in the community spreads & a crowd arrives to witness the ritual. On time, Spirit Bird enters the Gatekeepers home, signalling it’s ready for the Sacred Agreement. Call is made. So, we began beating the sacred drum, every beat.. we cried, every beat was a release
“Today someone met their shadow
And the people began to think differently
And the people healed
Tonight, we dance & give thanks”
A sense of urgency, shook the village to awaken land to plant. A community garden was about to be re-born. Different walks of life came together, one voice & intention. I blessed the earth, leared & healed the space for our future generations. It was ready by the winter solstice. Everyone came to usher in the renewed energy with song, as we praised the earth. We blessed the soil & that hands committed to nurture her. Gentle rain drops, as our prayers are heard. We bring gifts & give thanks. The gentle rain opens the way to Llandudno, MotherStone. Where O’Baba shares his insights for those ready to see.
“The tree grows well & strong. Oh children mine, that hath its roots deep in the native earth;
So honour always thy ancestral line”. Indaba My Children
We are set. We arrive in Llundudno, clear intention to bless the way for the filming of “Indaba my Children”. Heart of the womb, in the presence of the sleeping giants. Protected & directed by the cardinal cross. The Mantis & his bow plays to the 4 directions. The wind carrying many messages. Healing the feminine patriarchy, as the emerging masculine arises which been conditioned for eons. Comforted in her womb, co-creating a new contract. Kgara, releases the drought stricken Karoo water into the ocean, as it returns to it’s river beds. White Seal Lions gave thanks, as the waters touched & emerged, like long last lovers.
We begin to witness the collapse of the old world. Re-birthing, growth & healing into a new.
Rebuild our temples
Re-programme Collective care
All our hands play a part
Pray for future generations, the children becoming who they were created to be
Prayer, reconciliation & forgiveness
We learn a new language….conscious speaking
We learn to re-programme into conscious beings
RESET
Ho’oponopono
I’m Sorry
Please forgive me
Thank you
I love you
Be consistent in your waking up #VUKA
Be at the heart of your world
Awaken your twin flames of the Alpha & Omega
Release all residue in your heart
Put down the weight
Get out of your way
Peer from your Higher Self
Face the Sun
Open potential to love
We are lighter, clearer
We are healing, as are the elephants in Botswana
We give thanks to mother earth for her hand picked children
We plant a trees for future generations, to enjoy the shade
We rebuild communities
We restore our birth-right
We awaken the “I AM” that lives in the blood
Pure love, Christ consciousness which lies in our heart
Peace to all beings, may they be well & happy!
