Rituals of Redistribution

Boy (girl) you gonna carry that weight, carry that weight for a long time”,
so the song Goldern Slumber goes, so apt in these times.
There are many weights we all bare, either consciously or unconsciously.

From the daily grind, to the screeching metal coming off the train tracks,
as the jack-hammer impresses itself deeper and deeper into mother earth.
The constant digging and churning into her bedrock.
From paving paradise to putting up parking lots, it’s everywhere.
No permission nor consideration of the weight our unconditional mother has bared for mere greed
and to please the ascetic eye (depends who’s looking)?
The conflict exists in human architecture.

When the weight of it all becomes so pressing on the nervous system,
how do we decompress from it and gain a little respite?
As we look around the world is buckling under the constant strain of it all.
Where we designed to carry this much, while clinging to make it easier trying to leave a legacy?
The chains of heritage tightens. We are not Atlas.
Question…should we even pick it up?
You’re not responsible for every-thing, we can’t be! So I ask, what are you able to resonably carry?
Yes, we all have agency.

What if the invitation was to dial it all down and turn to relational support, beneath the noise of it all.

I get by with a little help from my friends” sung the Beatles.
Yeah, we all need support in one way or another. Especially in fast ever evolving times.

A burden shared, lightens the load. It breaks the chains and becomes a bridge.
Pathways of empathy, solidarity and remembrance.
Not because the weight gets easier…when shared and carried together it’s less impactful.
We see it carried out in nature.
Through the act of sharing it becomes rituals of redistribution. It’s in the space between you and I.

Can we just be with one another, sit in the in between and unburden it all?
Can we actually take a minute to get off our “smartphones”,
breathe
and lean into who’s actually sitting before you in this moment, welcoming gratitude.

Take time, pause to reflect upon this.

We cannot attain God-realisation if we are carrying a heavy worldly load, seen or unseen.

Laughing at myself and my idiosyncrasy of worrying about trivial attachments and what they represent.
Waking up to lightening the load of karma instead of dancing to our tunes of our busy minds.
Less possessed, realising their transient and illusory nature count for no-thing.

Even the hero never fully carries the weight of it all –
“Mr Frodo, I can’t carry it for you, but I can carry you” says Sam in the Lord of the Rings.

Freedom is not found in clinging, only in the slow gentle release and softening, layer by layer does it lighten.
So we begin dropping, bit by bit…and observe!

Solidarity comes as grace onto our path, trusting the seen and unseen hands, witnessing miracles naturally unfold.

The path ahead asks not for weight, Beloved. Travel light as we asked to let go of our baggage with faith and trust.

In any case, helping one another while humming in unison,
laughing at it all welcomes in so much light, joy and playfulness.

Take heed of this gracious offer to travel light and the journey itself becomes the destination.

Now the blessings are revealed as pure presence in every-thing!

May this shedding be heart led and a little lighter. Finding de-light and glimmers as the call for relational support.
Let’s commune together and call on the stabilisers,
Ganesha and all the Benevolent forces for this is a supported world.

Regardless of the outer, there’s gratitude in every-thing
as you continue your journey and the unfolding mystery of it all.

Step to Grace as relational bridge builders, walking softly on the earth in heart coherance.

Blessings & Peace to all Be-ings
